Etched and Sand Carved Art Glass by Cynthia Myers

I don’t have a Peony growing in my garden and have always wanted one. As you might guess, my mother has a beautiful garden and she taught me the love and art of gardening. Her tree Peony was planted more than 50 years ago and it has thrived filling the yard with sweet smells and beautiful pink blooms every spring without fail.

I photographed her flowers in their peak last year. From the pictures, I drew these. This glass comes from my New York glassblowers and I love the clear red and the opaque saffron at the top.

Scarlet/saffron vase.
